What makes a pizza the perfect pizza?

After visiting the world's pizza capital, New York City, I have had some of the best pizzas ever.

But what makes a pizza great?

And no, I'm not talking about the fake ass shit like "Chicago deep dish", or "Detroit Style" pizza.

I'm talking about thin crust, slice, and a limited topping that does not include bullshit like pineapple and other weird fruits.

I'm Talking about the crispiness of the dough. How crispy should the pizza be? Should you hear a nice crunch on each bite? Or is that reserved only for the crust?

And how oily should the pizza be? If I put a Bounty super sweeper paper towel on that pizza, does it get completely soaked in pizza grease? Or does it barely get wet?

What about the toppings? What's considered an acceptable topping? What's the line between cheese only and plastering the entire pie with random shit from the vegetable and meat drawer?

Pizza is the life blood of food, a name that is synonymous across all languages, but not all pizzas are the same. What makes you think your favorite pizza is better than my favorite pizza?
